Golden Hour Companion Animal Sanctuary was founded in 2024 on the simple belief that every animal deserves a loving home. What began as a small, passionate effort by a dedicated group of animal lovers has blossomed into a vital resource for Georgia's most vulnerable companion animals, the seniors. Our story is one of compassion and unwavering commitment. Upon discovering the statistical data showing that only one out of every four senior pets surrendered to a shelter makes it out alive, we saw a massive need to address. We were born from this recognition that countless dogs and cats, through no fault of their own, find themselves homeless, abandoned, or facing uncertain futures. Driven by a desire to make a tangible difference, we established Golden Hour Companion Animal Sanctuary as a safe haven, a place where these animals could find refuge, healing, and ultimately, their forever families.
